Menus and useful information

We pride ourselves in providing excellent food for our children. We feel that it is one of the most important parts of a child's life - to eat healthy, balanced meals.

A healthy diet enables a child to live life to the full and enables a better performance all round, specifically helping with their concentration levels - which in turn positively affects achievement.

With this in mind, we encourage all of our children to have a school dinner. We have a high uptake of school dinners at our school. It's good to know that our children are consuming a well-balanced and healthy meal at school.

School meals are priced at £2.70 daily. We have daily alternatives of jacket potato (with cheese/beans), pasta (with sauce and/or cheese) and wraps (with tuna/cheese/ham). This option is 'to order' and must be relayed to the Teacher/TA at registration.

Free School Meals

Did you know just registering your child for free school meals means that our school gets extra money to support your child? The Government is giving money to schools to help children from lower income families to do their very best. This funding is called a "Pupil Premium".

Registration will not affect any other benefits you are claiming.

Even if your child is in Foundation, Year 1 or Year 2, please register.

Even if your child does not have school dinners, please register.

If you are registered for Free School Meals you could get other benefits, such as free music tuition, help towards the cost of school visits, access to free Holiday Activities, connections to Food Schemes, and more.

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
